Kom van die bank af!

‘Kom van die bank af’ (Get off the couch) is a series of portraits of inspiring trailblazers from the industry.
The first portrait, ‘Stof tot nadenken uit Enschede Textielstad’ (‘Food for thought from Enschede Textielstad’), revolves around Annemieke Koster. In 11 years of passionate entrepreneurship, Annemieke’s initiative, Enschede Textielstad, has grown into the most sustainable scalable woven textile producer in the Netherlands, making high-quality fabrics from recycled materials (pre-used cotton, denim, wool, Tencel, hemp and flax). She explains what they do differently and shares her vision for the furniture industry. We will also meet Dirk van Deursen. He is National Transition Catalyst for Furniture and Sustainability Advisor at Royal CBM. As an expert, he outlines the broader context of the series. The time for industry change is pressing.

By placing our dilemmas on the table, we initiate a dialogue with each other.  Every link in the chain must contribute to the design of a circular living environment.
