FUTURE

As manufacturers, we believe in the need for circularity. In recent years, in our individual ways, we have worked to improve the sustainability of our processes, products and distribution. This is important work, but the scale and complexity of the current environmental crisis requires us to take further, bigger steps. We need to share knowledge and work together.

The many challenges of sustainability are not isolated. The answer to one dilemma may lead to another question. If we succeed in sourcing all our raw materials locally, this will undoubtedly have an impact on the availability of materials, land or energy in other sectors. And what works in one business may be difficult to achieve in another.

We need to look beyond our own factories and furniture. They are part of global chains, both at the level of raw materials or material development, and in the world of design and the economic and regulatory frameworks in which we operate. As manufacturers, we play on several chessboards at once. A move on one board immediately changes the game on the others.

And then there are our dealers and users. They too want to contribute to sustainability through a more conscious approach to products. By working together, we invite others to join in the much-needed transformation of the furniture sector.
